Getting to work on time, getting delayed, a chance meeting with that certain someone, the dog pulling you in a new direction—these events may seem all too normal, but there are very few, if any, random happenings in our day.

Each and every day, a divine selection of events occurs, appointments and disappointments that change the course of history in our life one moment at a time. An appointment is a convergence of two or more things at a particular place and time.

When these things come together, we experience an appointment. When God sets something up and we meet someone or find something somewhere, we have what I call a “divine appointment”—a moment appointed by the Spirit of God where destiny meets reality and invisible worlds become visible. In this convergence of life, we experience a moment with God, but we may not realize it.

We may have been led to think this is luck, but what if it is something more? And if there is something more going on, can I as a believer become more intentional about noticing these moments? Is it even possible to step into these moments more often? There are invisible problems happening around us as well.
